Consecrating a sacred place in nature:

There are, of course, many ways to create your own place in nature. One of many ways is how I did it on a dark autumn night when most people in society lay around wandering inside their sweetest dreams. I was out at night because I then felt an enormous sense of calm at the thought that I had the mountain entirely to myself.
I used a headlamp and, in addition, brought tobacco, a lighter, a small torch box, a compass, a rattle, incense and an ashtray (to hold the incense).
I walked up to a special place on the mountain. It should be mentioned that I live in Bergen, and there are many mountains there. Up on this mountain, which is only 300 metres high, there is a small lake with a few trees lightly scattered across the area.

Let the song of the swan be mine*
Let the wisdom of the serpent be mine*
Let the goodness of the earth be mine*
Yes, let the goodness of the earth be mine"*
