The youth-to-adult ceremony, or child-to-adult ceremony, is a "course of study" in which the person who is to go through the ceremony receives tasks and guidance from the leaders of the federation. There are various tasks which together are meant to enable the person going through the ceremony to form their own thoughts about nature and shamanism. The person is made capable of carrying out their own ceremony on the day. One of the greatest lessons comes by way of a "camp" up in the forest, where you receive lessons in understanding nature, make your own shaman staff, receive a power animal / find your power animal, learn to light a fire, and treat nature's beings with mutual respect. No prior knowledge is required, as you are supported by phone, Facebook, Skype or through personal meetings. For further questions, contact the federation.
The training costs less for members than for non-members. (Joining is free.)
