At the annual meeting it was decided that main membership in Sjamanistisk Forbund will be free from 2018 onwards. As tradition has it, enrollment is usually free during the last months of the year. The main board has decided that this will be the case this year as well. Therefore, from now on, main membership is free.
You do not have to be a shaman to be a member
Sjamanistisk Forbund is not only for those who define themselves as shamans; we are here for everyone who finds the sacred in nature. If you would like to help build a living shamanic tradition in Norway, you are warmly welcome. You choose for yourself the level at which you wish to engage. Everything from simply being a passive member, to taking part in or helping out at gatherings, or if you wish to take on a position or become a ceremony leader, or even a forstander. We are a grassroots organization where the path is made as we walk it.
