Å invitere det hellige inn

In a world shaped by technology and urbanization, shamanic traditions have long held fast to the wisdom of nature's sacred character. For us in Sjamanistisk Forbund, the relationship between people and nature is not only a physical connection, but also a spiritual one. Through practice, rituals and deep respect for the wholeness of nature, we invite the sacred into everyday life.

Restoring harmony

In shamanic belief, nature is regarded as a living, spiritual entity, a sanctuary of wisdom and power. Through rituals such as drumming, dance and connection with spiritual guides, shamans seek to restore the harmony between people and nature. Rather than viewing nature as something to be dominated, shamans recognize that we are part of a larger, interconnected web of life. By honoring this connection, we can find healing and wisdom that only nature can offer.

Living in balance

Shamanic practices encourage living in harmony with nature, a practice that is essential for inviting the sacred into our lives. This includes practicing sustainability, respecting all creatures, and listening to the voice of nature through rituals and meditation. In shamanic understanding, living in balance with nature is not only an act of respect, but also a key to personal and collective well-being.

A practice of gratitude

Expressing gratitude for nature is a core practice in shamanic traditions. Through rituals, prayers and ceremonies, shamans honor the natural elements and the spirits that inhabit them. This creates an atmosphere of respect and mutual support between people and nature. By practicing gratitude, shamans open their hearts to receive the sacred in everyday life and live in deeper connection with the living world around them. Perhaps it is best described in Sami; "luonddu árvvusmahttit," which can be translated as showing respect for nature by making it sacred.

Action as an expression of faith

For shamanic communities, acting in accordance with one's faith is an integral part of inviting the sacred into everyday life. This includes taking part in the community's rituals, protecting sacred places, and supporting efforts to preserve the environment. Actions such as these not only strengthen the relationship with nature, but also reflect the belief that people and nature are inextricably linked.

In Sjamanistisk Forbund, nature is not merely a backdrop for life; it is a living spiritual force that deserves respect and reverence. By restoring harmony, living in balance, expressing gratitude and acting in accordance with our faith, shamans invite the sacred into everyday life and renew the connection to nature and its endless mysteries. Let us learn from this ancient wisdom and continue to honor nature as the sanctuary it is, for our own sake and for future generations.
