Every summer Naturefest is held, a family festival for those who love primal culture. Here you will find music, ceremonies, talks and workshops for all age groups.
This year is especially exciting, as we are visited by Laboratorium Pièsni who are a world-class group. For the first time in Norway, we can present the internet phenomenon Laboratorium Pieśni, who are also current with their album Hé oyáte. The band took the internet by storm with the song sztoj pa moru, which has over 13 million plays on YouTube.
The women's group sings traditional polyphonic song from all over the world and spices it up with powerful shaman drums and other primal instruments. The group is firmly rooted in traditional singing techniques, but gives them new life through their playful approach and otherworldly sound. To experience Laboratorium Pieśni live at Naturefest is like being lifted out of time and into an inner primordial landscape beyond time and space. The music hits you right at the root of the heart.
This year there is an especially large children's programme. The children can also keep themselves busy with Viking games outside the scheduled programme items. Here they easily find playmates and, not least, here children get to be children. They can take part in the Fairy Tale Trail, a walk in the forest where the children get to meet mythical creatures from Norse and Sámi mythology. They can create clay figures, or make nature creatures out of things they find in the forest. It is also possible to learn a little about wood carving. We also guarantee that one or more surprises will turn up that are not in the programme.
The ceremony programme is, as always, packed with guests and experienced ceremony leaders who safely guide you through ceremonies, whether you have taken part before or are completely new. There are also exciting talks on various topics.
