After many years of dedicated service, Jan-Erik Fjelltrommeren Gravdahl is now stepping down from his role as forstander in Sjamanistisk Forbund. His contribution to the federation and to the shamanic community in Norway has been significant and will be deeply missed.
Jan-Erik has been a central figure in Sjamanistisk Forbund for several years. In addition to his position as forstander, he completed sweat lodge training through the federation and has since led numerous sweat lodge ceremonies. His commitment also extends to the local level, where he took over the leadership of Sjamanistisk Forbund Innlandet (formerly Valdres) from Knut Fuglesteg.
As a sweat lodge master, Jan-Erik has brought this powerful tradition to many. His ceremonies have been known for being deep and transformative experiences, where participants have had the opportunity to cleanse body, mind and soul. Jan-Erik's knowledge of the Meso-American sweat lodge tradition, combined with his experience as a therapist in the healthcare system, has given a unique depth to his practice.
Jan-Erik's contributions extend beyond the sweat lodge ceremonies. As forstander he has been instrumental in shaping and leading Sjamanistisk Forbund, and has played an important role in promoting understanding and respect for shamanic traditions in Norway. His commitment has inspired many to explore the wisdom and practices of shamanism.
Sjamanistisk Forbund and the broader shamanic community in Norway express their deep gratitude for Jan-Erik's many years of effort and dedication. His wisdom, experience and warm presence will be missed in the federation's daily work.
As Jan-Erik now moves on to new adventures, the legacy he leaves behind is significant. His work has laid a solid foundation for continued growth and development within shamanic practice in Norway. We wish Jan-Erik Fjelltrommeren Gravdahl all the best in his future endeavours and thank him warmly for his invaluable contribution to Sjamanistisk Forbund and the shamanic community.
